High-beat precision and three days of power reserve come together in the new Tentagraph, Grand Seiko’s first mechanical chronograph.
特点
The Tentagraph, an automatic high-beat chronograph, is the first watch of its kind from Grand Seiko. Powered by the new Caliber 9SC5, which uses the Caliber 9SA5 as its base, it is emblematic of the next generation of Grand Seiko sports watches, both for its technological innovation and its equally stunning Evolution 9 Style. With a power reserve of 72 hours, the Tentagraph is the longest-running 10-beat chronograph on the market today. And its design has been fully updated for active use and easy reading while in motion.
The Tentagraph’s case and bracelet are made from High-intensity titanium, which is about 30 percent lighter and more scratch resistant than stainless steel, and its bezel is made from scratch-resistant ceramic. The watch’s dial pattern evokes the magnificence of Mt. Iwate, the soaring peak visible from the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi.

The essence of Grand Seiko is infused with Japanese beauty.
Born in the pursuit of the ideal wristwatch, the Evolution 9 Collection evinces a new design grammar that is entirely consistent with the Grand Seiko Style of 1967. Through the new Evolution 9 Style, Grand Seiko forges a new path while honoring its origins.
Pursuing the ideal chronograph through a dial designed for legibility.
One signature of the Evolution 9 Style is its dial with redesigned indexes and hands, which have been created to achieve maximum legibility, allowing the wearer to check the time with just a glance. Everything about the Tentagraph’s chronograph and time-of-day displays has been thoroughly considered, from the placement of the hands relative to the indexes to the distance between the dial and hands. The recessed sub-dials sit a level below the main time-of-day display, enhancing the Tentagraph dial’s depth and legibility. And by placing the date between four and five o’clock, Grand Seiko’s designers ensured an index remains at each of the traditional hour positions while allowing for maximum readability for the time of day and the chronograph sub-dials.
Features of the Tentagraph Caliber 9SC5
The Tentagraph’s name describes key features of the Caliber 9SC5 movement inside: Ten beats per second, three days of power reserve, automatic winding, and chronograph.
Fully wound, the watch runs for 72 hours when the chronograph is in operation, which makes Tentagraph the 10-beat-per-second chronograph with the longest power reserve in the industry today*.
