From the viewing gallery, the visitor can look down into the Clean Room and see Grand Seiko’s watchmakers at work. The sense of calm is palpable and speaks of the extraordinary levels of concentration that the craftsmen and women apply to their work.
While made entirely of wood, the structure meets the high standards of air cleanliness and temperature control that precision horological craftsmanship demands. Remarkably, the ceiling was constructed with no beams so as to be completely dust free.
