Choreographing the fluid passage of time
in harmony with nature.

Scenes of fluttering cherry blossoms.
Brilliant sunlight flowing down from the skies overhead.
Hills dyed with spectacular autumn hues,
encompassed by a brilliant, silvery world.

Spring, summer, autumn, and winter,
the four distinctive seasons of Japan.
They are synonymous with scenery loved
by the Japanese people.

Grand Seiko supports efforts to uphold
and extend our natural legacy.

Pledging forever to address the
dynamics of this mighty natural world,
we carry on an eternal quest to mark the
passage of our precious moments together.

Activities and Guidelines

01

Inheriting the culture of time

Born of human hands, Grand Seiko watches mark the passage of time
They carry on a rich saga of tradition and innovation.
Going forward, the quest continues to link the skills and the spirit of craftsmanship passed down over the years to the next generation of artisans, and far into the future.

02

At one with nature

In the midst of nature, even though we sense a sheer power far exceeding the strength of people, there is still a need for human hands to support the natural ecosystem.
Therefore, we plant trees and perform similar environmental preservation activities, transition to renewable energy, and pursue initiatives to facilitate sustained coexistence between people and nature

Iwate Prefecture Initiative

In 2021, Grand Seiko entered into a comprehensive collaboration agreement with Iwate Prefecture, in northeast Japan. Under this pact, we strive to preserve the Hiraniwa Plateau in Kuji City, famed as one of Japan’s premiere white birch forests, while promoting cooperation aimed at local revitalization and other endeavors to realize a sustainable regional community.

Nagano Prefecture Initiative

In 2024, we made an agreement with Sakuho Town in Nagano Prefecture in central Japan targeting Yachiho Highland, another area known for its lush white birch forests. Grand Seiko works with local authorities in planting these gorgeous trees, hand in hand with other forest conservation activities. This activity also encompasses the promotion of carbon offset programs.
