The watch’s inspiration, the lion emerging from the darkness, is expressed through the over 600 diamonds that adorn the case, dial, bezel, and crown to create a powerful and imposing presence. The pavé setting delivers a radiant sparkle along the ridges, highlighting the exquisite shape of the case. This brilliance is further enhanced by setting the diamonds side-by-side with black spinels, boldly expressing the concept of light and shadow that is so critical to Grand Seiko design.
The movement powering this high-jewelry masterpiece is the Spring Drive Caliber 9R01, created by the skilled men and women of the Micro Artist Studio. Its three barrels arrayed in series allow for continuous operation of up to eight days (about 192 hours).
