The pristine dial beautifully expresses the magnificent colour of a snowy landscape in the Hotaka mountains, which can be seen from the Shinshu Watch Studio where this model is produced. This “snowflake” dial features a detailed pattern that exudes the aesthetic sense of Grand Seiko, portraying an unspoiled, windswept snowfield. The shimmering colour of the blued steel seconds hand and the dazzling set of 44 diamonds on the bezel combine to produce a wide variety of visual expressions depending on the light. 白き雪の紋様を描く雪白パターンのダイヤル
硬さを帯びた雪面が強い風によって削られ生み出される風雪紋は、厳しい冬山で見られる美しい風景のひとつ。グランドセイコーのスプリングドライブモデルとクオーツモデルがつくられる「信州 時の匠工房」から望む穂高連峰は、毎年数ヶ月にも渡って雪に覆われています。冬の時期になるとこの地でもよく目にすることができるその耽美的な風雪紋を、ダイヤルパターンとして再現したのが通称「雪白ダイヤル」です。匠の技によって表現されたこのダイヤルは、実は白塗りではなく、特殊な銀めっき加工により繊細な質感を創出しています。白を使わずにして純白を表した、美しいダイヤルです。ベゼルに施された44個のダイヤモンドの煌めきとともに、大自然の神域が持つ荘厳さや清浄さを感じさせてくれます。
